How We Do Our Work

At OfID-SL, our approach combines rigorous research, strategic advocacy, capacity-building, and innovative programming to create meaningful social impact.

Research

In order to complement national efforts that addresses the issues relative to the core components listed above, OfID-SL conducts independent, impartial and reliable research on key areas of interests, and issues in Sierra Leone.

Counterpart Monitoring

As a national civic organization, we conduct counterpart monitoring of national programmes, policy and emerging areas of public interest. This is done through data collection and analysis, stakeholder engagement, field visits, networking, media and other appropriate strategies and use of technology.

Advocacy

Our advocacy programmes involve a variety of strategies, including development of evidence for action, community engagements and policy engagement. We conduct public awareness through campaigns, networking, and media outreach.

Catalytic Programming

OfID-SL undertakes experimental programmes that demonstrates best practices; inclusive, innovative and impactful.

Training

As a civic-based and social enterprise organization, we build capacities of like minded organizations and individuals, state and non-State actors and community based organizations variety of areas, including leadership, results based management, and civics.
